Columbine Origami Mix
Aquilegia vulgaris cv
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
Aquilegia vulgaris, commonly known as Columbine is a wildflower of the British Isles and has been grown and bred for hundreds of years. Breeding really took off with the crossing of the British species with others of the northern hemisphere which began to produce a variety of flower shapes and colours.
A perennial plant growing to a height of 35cm (14in) usually with pendulous flowers though some hybrids now have upward-facing flowers. They are considered easy to grow by British experts but in Australia, they will need to be cold stratified first (pop them in the refrigerator for two weeks or so).
They are tolerant of most soils and even short periods of drought but a better plant is always to be had with regular watering. Colour is mixed and the flowers are singles.
Offered is a packet of approx 25 seeds complete with propagation instructions.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
