Lemon Scented Myrtle

Backhousia citriodora

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

A native of Queensland, it prefers medium to heavy soils in a sunny position. Unfortunately it is drought and frost tender.

An evergreen shrubby tree to 15 metres with a spread of 5 metres. It has a sturdy trunk and densely textured crown of glossy, dark green, heavily lemon scented leaves. The flowers are white appearing in dense clusters in spring and summer.

Offered is a packet of 30 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this strongly scented small tree.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
