Beautiful Bossiaea

Bossiaea pulchella

A native of south-western West Australia where it prefers lateritic, gravelly soils in an open, sunny position. It is drought, mildly frost resistant and very hardy.

An evergreen shrub growing to a height of 1.5 metres with a spread of 2 metres; the stem is erect and branching with a rounded compact crown; the leaves are linear to oblong and 6cm long with a notch at the apex and serrate margins; the flowers are yellowish, brown, orange and red, appearing in masses during August and September summer and autumn.

This plant’s common name certainly describes its flowering.

Offered is a packet of  20 seeds complete with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.
