Calothamnus quadrifidus

This plant is native to West Australia where it prefers light to medium, sandy, well drained soils in an open sunny position. A variable and large habitat, it extends west of a line from Shark Bay on the west coast to WA/SA border on the south coast. It is frost and drought resistant.

An evergreen shrub growing to 2 metres with a spread of 2 metres, it is a rounded shrub; the stem is stout and erect with spreading branches; the leaves are mid-green, flat, narrow and 2.5cm long. The flowers are crimson, arranged in four fringes on a flat stalk and appear in summer.

Offered is a packet of 150 seeds complete with propagation notes.
