Eucalyptus ‘Moon Lagoon’
Eucalyptus kruseana x latens
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
A hybrid small Mallee (multi-stemmed Eucalypt), thought to be E. kruseana x latens and used as a florist’s filler item. Both Mallees are from southern West Australia but are not found co-located.
This hybrid is an attractive small Mallee with blue-green, small-leaved foliage in the juvenile stage. Mature leaves are green and the Mallee must be kept pruned to a small shrub in order to maintain the usable blue-green juvenile foliage.
Like most Mallees, it is frost and drought tolerant and prefers a full sun position. In addition to producing cut flower foliage, this plant makes a useful screen or low windbreak.
Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) with propagation notes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.
All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases, it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translates to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.
All my seed travels safely with bubble wrap protection.
