Crowea angustifolia – Narrow Leaf Crowea seed x30

A native of south West Australia, west of Albany, where it prefers sandy or gravelly soils on granite outcrops and slopes. It is drought resistant but dislikes frost.

An evergreen, perennial shrub growing to a height of 0.3 – 3.5 metres; the stem is either erect or spreading with smooth, twiggy branches and an open crown; the leaves are narrow, elliptic or obovate (broader at the tip than the base), sessile (without stalk) and 4 cm long; the flowers are white to shell pink, star shaped, faintly fragrant, 5 petalled and 1.5cm across, occurring in the leaf axils and appearing in spring.

This seed requires smoke treatment to germinate which can be found by searching for ‘smoke treatment’ in my store. Smoke treatment is the simple process of sprinkling treated vermiculite over the sown seeds.
