(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
A native of the eastern coast of Australia, growing from Port Macquarie, NSW to Tin Can Bay in Queensland, this evergreen tree likes light to medium well-drained soils and is a major Koala food. It is both drought and frost hardy.
A handsome tree to 30 metres with dull green, concolorous foliage at maturity. The bark is smooth with patches of grey, salmon & orange which it sheds in large flakes.
Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) with propagation notes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.
All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translates to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.
All seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
