 Eucalyptus largiflorens

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

A native of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia that grows to 20 metres (65 ft) high. It has fibrous, flaky bark which is persistent and a grey or grey-black colour. Originally found growing on barren localities like the Murray, Wimmera and and St. Vincents Gulf it also has a presence on the heavy, black clays of the Darling Downs in Queensland.

The heavy soils on which it grows have a tendency to occasionally become seasonally flooded and is primarily grassy woodland. The trees are usually clumped which is caused by the seed being left on high ground as the inundation subsides. This tree is an ideal specimen for gardens with heavy soils and black , cracking clays of the inland.

Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) with propagation notes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.

DISCLAIMER.

All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases, it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translate to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
