Round Leaf Grevillea
Grevillea teretifolia
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
A native of southwest Western Australia west of a line from Geraldton to Kalgoorlie including the Wheatbelt area.
An evergreen shrub to 2 metres (6 ft) with a spread of 2 metres, it is much smaller in cultivation, usually about 1 metre. The foliage is silvery-green, divided, round with pronounced ribs and sharp points. The flowers are pink or white, profuse, and dominate the shrub when flowering.
This Grevillea prefers full sun and must have very good drainage. In its natural habitat, it grows in sandy soils over gravel and dislikes wet feet. It is drought and frost tolerant to minus 6 degrees Celsius (21ºF). It is attractive to nectar-feeding birds and makes an excellent hedge.
Offered is a packet of 20 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this shrub.
