Pink Rain Lily
Zephyranthes grandiflora syn Z. minuta.
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
The Pink Rain Lily (Zephyranthes grandiflora) is undergoing a review of its name, some believe it should be named Zephyranthes minuta under the rules of plant names. Originally known as Amaryllis minuta, the species name cannot change though the genus name can. (an argument that I will leave to the academics).
The Pink Rain Lily is a native of Central America and was given its common name because the plant always flowers after heavy rain, several times a year in some climates. A small bulb with narrow strap-like leaves, it prefers to grow in the shadow of other plants and when it is among grasses it is mostly hidden from view.
Offered is a packet of 20 seeds with grownotes to assist you in growing this pretty flowering bulb.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
