Hairpin/Honeysuckle Banksia

Banksia spinulosa var collina

A native of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria where it prefers light to medium soils in an open, sunny position. It is drought and frost resistant and very hardy.

An evergreen shrub growing to a height of 3 metres with a spread of 2 metres; the stem is stout with a rounded compact crown; the leaves are narrow, linear to oblong and 6cm long with a notch at the apex and serrate margins; the flowers are yellowish-bronze, cylindrical, 18 cm long and 6cm wide, appearing in summer and autumn.

Offered is a packet of 5 seeds along with grownotes to assist you in their propagation.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
