The Illawarra Flame Tree (Brachychiton acerifolius) is a popular tree overseas because of its spectacular flowering. It is considered evergreen but the tree drops its leaves on those branches which carry flowers (sometimes the whole tree).
A tree which grows to 30 metres in its natural habitat, it is slightly smaller in cultivation but is still a large tree. It prefers medium to heavy deep soils and is drought hardy though frost sensitive.
Offered is a packet of 15 seeds with Grownotes to assist you to propagate this tree.
