A native of New South Wales and Queensland where it prefers light to medium well-drained in an open, sunny position. It does not like frost nor drought.

A deciduous shrub growing to a height of 2.4 metres with a spread of 2 metres, the stem is slender and erect; the leaves are large and oblong divided into 8 to 14 pairs of leaflets; the flowers are yellow occurring in spike-like clusters which open from the bottom up and the fruit are pods.

The shrub has a rounded form with the flower spikes held above the foliage giving the appearance of candlesticks.

Offered is a packet of 25 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this showy tree.
