This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
This Chrysanthemum originated from the central Chilean states but has since spread worldwide and has been hybridised as well. Chrysanthemum forms almost equal the number of plants in the genus. The seeds offered here are of a double flower, mixed colour variety.
This Chrysanthemum comes in two flower colours, a solid yellow (var. coronaria) and white with the petals turning yellow near their base (var. discolor). It can grow to 1 metre tall and will flower throughout summer. It much prefers a mild climate and dislikes humidity but is not worried by frost.
The young leaves of this plant are eaten raw in Malta and cooked (stir-fried) in Asian cuisine. Older leaves tend to be bitter but are used in folk medicine.
Offered is a packet containing approx. 200 seeds with propagation notes.
