A native of southwest Western Australia where it prefers light to medium soils in an open, well-drained, semi-shaded position and bears red toothbrush flowers from early winter to late spring. The shrub can be groundcover to an upright bush

A small, evergreen growing from 0.6 to 2.6 metres tall with a spread of 2 metres; the stem is erect with elegant branches and an open-textured crown; the leaves are light green, divided and fern-like with narrow leaflets; the flowers are red, occurring in erect, one-sided clusters 15cm long, terminal and spectacular.

Offered is a packet of 5 seeds with propagation notes.
