A native of Queensland and New South Wales, this tall evergreen shrub is a good substitute for Spanish Broom which it resembles.
Adaptable to most soils, including poorly drained soils, this evergreen, drooping shrub has leaves resembling small, brown scales. The branches are grey-green while the bark hard and grey. The flowers are yellow to orange strongly scented pea flowers with a small splotch of red. They are held in sprays throughout the year. A drought and frost resistant plant suitable for zones 8 – 10.
