A native of the West Australia western coast southwards from Geraldton to Cape Leeuwin with a small presence well inland from Albany. It prefers well-drained sandy to gravelly soils in an open, sunny position. It is drought-resistant but dislikes frost.
An evergreen shrub growing to a height of 0.6 metres with a spread of 1.5 metres. The stem is erect with broadly spreading branches; the leaves are slender and 1cm long; the flowers are pink to purple occurring in bottlebrush-like clusters from August to December (southern hemisphere); the fruit is a brown woody capsule.
Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (including chaff) with propagation notes.
