This Sedum (also known as Two-row Stonecrop or Purpurteppich) is a hardy, evergreen, perennial succulent with a bright yellow flower head containing hundreds of individual flowers. The succulent leaves are green during the warmer months and change to a reddish tinge during the winter months when there is a little colour available.
Growing to a height of just 10-16 cm, it will thrive in full sun, tolerate hot, dry conditions.
Sedums are very adaptable and only require sun and well-drained soils. They are ideal for rock gardens, pot culture, wall niches and mass planted as a flowering ground cover. They tolerate deer, rabbits, drought, heat & humidity, pollution, seashore. slopes, wind and USDA 4 -9.
Flowering time is mid-summer to autumn.
