This Sedum (also known as Two-row Stonecrop or Purpurteppich) is a hardy, evergreen, perennial succulent with a bright yellow flower head containing hundreds of individual flowers. The succulent leaves are green during the warmer months and change to reddish tinge during the winter months when there is little colour available.
Growing to a height of just 10-16 cm, it will thrive in full sun, tolerate hot, dry conditions.
Sedums are very adaptable and only require sun and well-drained soils. They are ideal for rock gardens, pot culture, wall niches and mass planted as a flowering ground cover. They tolerate deer, rabbits, drought, heat & humidity, pollution, seashore. slopes, wind and USDA 4 -9.
Flowering time is mid-summer to autumn.
