This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Plant List.
A native of coastal New South Wales and South East Queensland, this plant prefers poor, sandy soils with good drainage. However, it will tolerate occasional inundation, is drought tolerant but frost tender.
An evergreen, clump-forming plant which does not display a trunk. The trunk remains below ground, where it can branch and give rise to ‘another’ grass tree.
Grass trees are very slow growing and can be kept in a pot for long periods. They are known to survive for periods of 600 years.
Offered is a packet of 15 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this distinctly Australian plant.
