Giant Velvet Rose
Aeonium longithyrsum
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
This succulent is the subject of much controversy because botanists (taxonomists) cannot agree on its name of which there are three. So wherever you look, one of the names will come up without any reference to the other two names – only the taxonomists can sort it out.
The Giant Velvet Rose is a native of the two easternmost islands of the Canary Islands. Like most succulents, it likes full sun to part shade in a free-draining gritty textured soil, is drought tolerant once established and will produce offsets from the stem. Evergreen and summer flowering, it grows to 60 cm (24 in.) high with a spread of 37 cm (15 in.).
Offered is a pack of 20 seeds with grownotes.
