Swamp Bankia
Banksia paludosa
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
A native from the south coast of New South Wales from Bateman’s Bay to Eden with a disjunct population around Taree. It will withstand short periods of inundation and frost. This Banksia has been misnamed as it is not necessary to have a swampy/marshy habitat and is known to grow on highway nature strips.
An evergreen, spreading shrub to 1.5 metres has dark green leaves with a silvery underside and yellow flower spikes which remain on the plant until burnt.
This plant grows readily from seed.
Offered is a packet of 10 seeds complete with propagation notes.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
