(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

This tree, a native of China and South East Asia, prefers light to medium, well-drained soils in a protected, sunny position. A evergreen tree which is  drought and frost hardy, it grows to 9 metres with a spread of 4.5 metres. Its leaves are shaped like butterfly wings while its flowers are pinkish-purple and orchid-like and occurring profusely from November to February (southern hemisphere).

When flowering, this is a truly spectacular small tree and the flowers have a good vase life.

Offered is a packet of 10 fresh seeds with Grownotes to assist you to cultivate them.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
