Finger Pigs Ear or Pepe Bush

Cotyledon orbiculata var. dactylopsis

This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List

A native of South Africa where it has a broad habitat across both summer and winter rainfall regimes. It has five variants based mostly on leaf shape; the dactylopsis variant having a thick, finger-like leaf as opposed to the usual fan-shaped form.

A low, fast-growing shrub with milky green leaves, it is one of the ‘easy to grow’ succulents with the added bonus of being maintenance free. Flowering is on an extended stalk that is held well above the foliage. Flowers are a cluster of orange-red pendant bells though yellow forms are known. Flowering normally occurs in winter but can be mid-summer depending on the winter rainfall.

Suitable for rockeries, pots or general garden site, this plant prefers full sun to partial shade in a very free draining soil.

Offered is a packet of 20 seeds complete with propagation notes.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
