Bentham’s Banksia
Banksia benthamiana

A native of West Australia in a small area east of Geraldton. It grows 2 to 4 metres high and spreads. The leaves are almost linear with serrated edges, dull green and covered in hairs when young. Flowering is November to January, the yellow-orange flower spikes being up to 10 cm long.
This is a large shrub without a lignotuber lending itself to pot culture. It is unsuitable for small gardens.
