Grevillea eriostachya

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

A native of Central and Western Australia where it prefers light, deep soils in a sunny, open position. It tolerates both drought and frost.

An evergreen shrub growing to a height of 3 metres and a spread of 2 metres. The stem is erect with elegant branches supporting an open textured crown. The leaves are long, narrow, stiff and often divided. The flowers are yellow, occurring in loose heads 18cm long in spring.

While this plant is widespread over the interior, seed is not often offered for sale and when it is, it is expensive for a Grevillea.
